Bio

Midfielder Ryan Woods moved to the MKM Stadium on a three-year deal from Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee in August 2022.

Vastly experienced at Championship level, Woods has made just under 250 appearances during spells at Brentford, Stoke City, Millwall and Blues.

After beginning his career at Shrewsbury Town, Woods made the step up to the Championship with Brentford in 2015. He made over 120 appearances for the Bees, scoring three of his four career goals during his time at Griffin Park.

The versatile midfielder left Brentford for Stoke in 2018, initially on loan, and made 39 appearances in total before moving to Millwall on loan midway through 2019/20, reuniting with his former Potters boss Gary Rowett. Making 18 appearances as the Lions narrowly missed out on the play-offs, he joined on loan again the following season, playing 46 times.

Woods made a permanent move away from Stoke to join Birmingham in June 2021, making 30 appearances for Blues in 2021/22.

Featuring 26 times for the Tigers in his debut season, which saw him record two assists, Woods spent the 2023/24 campaign out on loan in Sky Bet League One, first with Bristol Rovers. Making 16 appearances for the Pirates before returning to Hull in January, the midfielder then made the temporary switch to Exeter City on deadline day, featuring 14 times in total for the Grecians.
