Bio

Aaron Connolly joined Hull City in August 2023 from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion on a one-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The striker played six games on loan at the MKM Stadium in 2022/23, scoring a well-taken brace in a player of the match performance against Queens Park Rangers.

The nine-time Republic of Ireland international made 52 appearances for Brighton - all but seven of them in the Premier League - after joining the south coast as a scholar in 2016.

The highlight of his seven-year spell with the Seagulls came in October 2019 when he marked his first top-flight start with two goals in a memorable 3-0 triumph against Tottenham Hotspur.

Making his EFL debut for Luton Town in 2018/19, the Irishman has also spent time on loan at Middlesbrough, where he made 20 appearances, and Italian Serie B side Venezia.

On his return to HU3, Connolly made a flying start to the 2023/24 campaign as he netted four goals in eight games in the Championship.
