Forward Randell Williams has set his sights on a regular place in the starting line-up after impressing with his performances over the last few weeks.
The Tigers are set to return to action against Blackburn Rovers at the MKM Stadium, and the 25-year-old winger will be hoping he did enough in his half an hour stint against Stoke City to earn a fourth start of the season against Rovers.
“I’m just focused on working hard to get a run of games for myself, I think that’s my main goal at the moment,” said Williams.
“I can only do what I’m doing right now in training. It’s down to the manager to pick the team and whether or not he thinks I’m ready to play is down to him. I’ll always train the best I can and play the best I can when I get given the opportunity.”
After a disappointing performance against Stoke on Sunday, Williams says the team will be doing everything they can to respond by picking up three points against high-flying Rovers at the MKM.
“We want to get the three points,” added Williams.
“Looking back at our performance against Everton, if we can play that well against a Premier League side then there’s no reason why we can’t compete with anyone in this league.
“I think you’ve got to go into every game thinking you’re going to win it, otherwise you’ve already lost the battle. Our goal is to go and get the three points. We’re at home so we’ve got an advantage and we need to make the most of it.
“Every game in this league is going to be tough no matter who you play. We’ve just got to go out there and do what we do best and hopefully we can get a result.”
