Callum Elder says the team are looking to be more ruthless in the final third as they prepare to face Blackburn Rovers.
The Tigers travel to Ewood Park having picked up back-to-back clean sheets against Bournemouth and Swansea, and the defender says that’s a good base to build on heading into the next flurry of games in the Championship.
“We’ve had two clean sheets in a row now, so we’ve forged a good defensive structure,” said Elder.
“We’ve got lads back now that are on the training park.
“They're able to see the training and the roles that they need to play in and out of possession.
“Moving forward we of course want to carry on with that defensive structure that we’ve managed to forge in the last two games.”
The Tigers face Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn tonight, with Rovers being denied victory in the eighth minute of stoppage time against Luton Town last time out, and Elder says the Tigers will be looking to be more ruthless as they search for all three points.
“We know we need to show a stronger ruthlessness in the final third,” Elder added.
“We’ll be looking to do that against Blackburn.”
