Hull City’s Championship match against Coventry City at the MKM Stadium will be the club’s annual Remembrance fixture.
The club will pay its respects to the service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in armed conflict with a short ceremony ahead of kick-off.
The two teams will form a guard of honour for members of the Royal British Legion, with each captain laying a wreath on the pitch.
After the reading of the Exhortation, a bugler will play the Last Post and there will be a minute’s silence to remember the fallen.
That will be followed by the playing of the reveille and the reading of the Kohima Prayer before the match gets underway.
The Tigers’ shirts will be embroidered with a poppy and put up for auction, with all proceeds going towards the Royal British Legion.
Official Hull City poppy pin badges are on sale online and in store from Tiger Leisure, priced at £4.99.
The bespoke enamel badges feature the Hull City crest adjoined by a football to the registered poppy emblem, embossed with the year ‘2021’.
As with the match-worn shirts, money raised from the sale of poppy pin badges will go to the Royal British Legion.
