Grant McCann insists everyone’s focus is solely on the next game against Fleetwood Town.
The table-topping Tigers are unbeaten in 10 heading into their final five matches and now sit eight points clear of third-placed Sunderland.
Fleetwood stand in the way of a fourth consecutive victory and have improved since Simon Grayson took over as manager, winning six of their last nine matches.
And McCann says Hull City can’t afford to rest on their laurels ahead of a fourth meeting with the Cod Army this season.
“The next one is the most important for us and that’s all we’ve focused on this week – the preparation for Fleetwood,” said McCann.”
“It’s another tough game for us, a team that is in the top six for the last 10 games in the division on form. They’re unbeaten in their last four away from home, with three wins, conceded one goal.
“It’s a tough game. Simon has done a really good job since he came in. They’re playing in a different style, different philosophy, different manager, different ideas.
“They’ve got similar personnel to what we’ve played against before but they’ve recruited well, in terms of what they’ve brought in.
“We understand we’re up against a good Fleetwood team and we’ll have to be at our best to get a result.”
