Hull City are proud to launch ‘The 222 Collection’ in support of club legend Chris Chilton.
Chris is the Tigers’ record goal-scorer having hit the net on 222 occasions during his 477 appearances for his hometown club, becoming a hero to those that watched him from the Boothferry Park terraces and holding legendary status in the Club’s history books.
Sadly, Chris isn’t in the best of health at the moment and ‘The 222 Collection’ has been launched to help raise funds so that our hero can receive the care that he needs.
60 years on from his Hull City debut, ‘The 222 Collection’ features a range of limited edition merchandise that is available online from www.tigerleisure.com.
All profits will be donated to the Chris Chilton Appeal, which was set up by Francesca, the daughter of Chris’s strike-partner and great friend, Ken Wagstaff.
The appeal has already raised thousands of pounds which will go towards supporting Chris’s care needs, providing a huge boost for his family, and if you would like to make a direct donation you can do so by visiting the GoFundMe page by clicking here.
The Hull City Supporters' Trust are also currently auctioning a signed, framed Hull City 2001/02 away shirt to raise money for the Chris Chilton Appeal, you can find details on how to bid on the shirt here.
Hull City supporter and author John Forth has created a book that looks back on the Tigers’ memorable 1965/66 season.
Copies of the fully illustrated book, Hull City AFC 1965-1966 Nostalgia, which is A4 size and 167 pages long, are available direct from John Forth.
It costs £20, plus P&P, with all profits to be donated to the Chris Chilton Appeal.
