Playing in Wales for New Saints and Oswestry Town as well as featuring for Tranmere Rovers, the midfielder made his Hull City debut in the EFL Trophy fixture against Leicester City Under-21s in September 2020.

Capped for Wales at youth level, the midfielder featured seven times in all competitions in the 2020/21 season, captaining the team and scoring in a 2-0 victory away at Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy.

He was loaned to Morecambe at the start of the 2021/22 season and netted two goals in 18 matches for the League One Shrimps, including a fine free-kick in the 2-1 derby win at Fleetwood Town.

After returning in January 2022, Jones made two substitute appearances for the Tigers in the Sky Bet Championship, before signing for Grimsby Town on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.
