An established Canada international, Liam Millar joined Hull City on a permanent deal from FC Basel in August 2024.

Beginning his footballing journey at Brampton Youth SC at the age of four, he joined North Mississauga two years later and also represented Burlington YSC before moving to England aged 13 for footballing reasons, joining Fulham in 2013. Spending three years with the Cottagers, Millar moved to Premier League giants Liverpool in July 2016.

Taking just four minutes into his Liverpool Under-18s’ debut to score the first of a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Blackburn Rovers, Millar in total played 85 times for various Liverpool youth teams, scoring 31 goals and recording 18 assists.

Gaining experience on loan away from Anfield, playing 36 matches across two spells with Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock and appearing 27 times for Charlton Athletic, Millar played one senior game for Liverpool, playing 82 minutes in a fourth round replay victory in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury Town.

Making a permanent switch to Swiss Super League side FC Basel in July 2021, the winger featured regularly for the club domestically and in European football, making 98 appearances in total, scoring 13 and recording 10 assists.

Scoring five and recording five assists in 36 appearances on loan at Preston North End for the 2023/24 season, where he won their Goal of the Season award, Millar internationally has over 30 senior caps for Canada, scoring his first international goal in the 2023 Gold Cup against Cuba.
