Bio

Jaden Philogene joined Hull City as one of four deadline day signings in the summer from Premier League side Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

The exciting winger signed a three-year deal at the MKM Stadium, with a club option of a further year.

A direct dribbler and tenacious tackler with fleet-footed trickery and invention, the unpredictable right-footer plays predominantly on the left but is equally effective on the opposite flank.

Before joining the Tigers, the dynamic wide player spent a season and a half developing his game in the Championship and showed glimpses of his potential at Stoke City before flourishing with Cardiff City in 2022/23.

The Hammersmith-born attacker produced five goals and one assist in 39 appearances for the Bluebirds and won a league-high four penalties, earning their Young Player of the Season award.

Philogene impressed for Villa during their 2023/24 pre-season campaign and started all three friendlies of their summer tour of the United States, netting in a 2-0 warm-up win against Fulham.

The exciting youngster made six senior appearances for the club as he joined as a 15-year-old from the Pro:Direct Academy in January 2018 - three of them in the Premier League. His first team debut for the Villans came in May 2021, as he was introduced as a late substitute in a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the top flight.

Philogene made his debut for the Tigers in September 2023 in a 1-1 draw against Coventry City and wasted no time in making his mark in black and amber. His impressive performances saw him voted by supporters as Player of the Month for his first two months at the club.

His start to life with the Tigers was quickly recognised and the youngster was rewarded with his first call-up to represent England Under-21s in October 2023. He made his first appearance against Serbia at the City Ground, scoring twice and registering an assist which was enough to see him crowned man of the match.
