Bio
A Hull City legend who returned to the club as Lead Professional Phase Coach in September 2019, Andy Dawson was promoted to First-Team Coach ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The left-back was instrumental in the Tigers' rise from League Two to the Premier League, making over 300 appearances in 10 years at the MKM Stadium.
He moved to Scunthorpe United as a player-coach in 2013 and filled various roles over the next six years, including First-Team Coach, Assistant Manager and Interim Manager, as well as Professional Phase Development Coach.
Joining the club's Hall of Fame in 2022, Dawson took the managerial reigns on a temporary basis following the departure of Shota Arveladze, managing eight games before the arrival of Liam Rosenior and doing a second temporary spell in charge after Tim Walter's dismissal in November 2024, managing two games against Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough.
