Under-21s captain Jack Leckie has joined National League North side Chorley on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old centre-back joined the Tigers on a two-year deal in July 2022 and was a mainstay as the Under-21s reached the Professional Development League national play-offs in his debut campaign.

The Newcastle-born defender played six matches on loan at Farsley Celtic in 2023/24 and penned a contract extension ahead of this season, being appointed vice-captain and later captain.

The Magpies, managed by Andy Preece, are pushing for promotion from the sixth tier, sitting a point inside the play-offs in seventh spot with 64 points from 38 matches.

We wish Jack the best of luck during his time in Lancashire.
