Yuriel Celi has joined Peruvian side Club Universitario de Deportes on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The one-time Peru international has spent the last two years with Los Cremas since the Tigers purchased him in January 2023 from Carlos A. Mannuci on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

During his two years at Universitario, the Callao-born midfielder won back-to-back national Peruvian titles in the Primera División and back-to-back Torneo Clausura tournaments, as well as the 2024 Torneo Apertura.

In total, Celi featured 23 times for Universitario, recording one assist, and scoring his only goal in a 1-0 win over Alianza Atlético Sullana in April 2024.

Scoring in Universitario's 3-1 pre-season win over Junior de Barranquilla earlier this month, the midfielder has since fellow Peru club Deportivo Garcilaso on loan.

We would like to wish Yuriel the best of luck in his future career.
