By Hull City

After a first promotion in the 21st century was secured the season before, Peter Taylor’s team did the unthinkable and went back-to-back to send Hull City to the second tier of English football.

Winning 26 of 46 games played, 86 points were accumulated as City finished second in League One, which also saw Hall of Fame member Stuart Elliott net an impressive 27 league goals in the historic campaign.

Coming up to 20 years since that historic promotion, the Hull City Official Supporters Club is inviting fans of all ages to come along to a 20th anniversary celebration of the promotion, hosted in the Kingston Suite at the MKM Stadium on Saturday 10 May at 7:30pm.

Tickets are priced at £20 which includes street food (Yorkshire Beef Chilli Box, Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options available) a souvenir ticket (for those all-important autographs) and an opportunity to obtain memorabilia only available on the night.

Ex-City legend John Hawley will be acting as auctioneer, with a replica shirt signed by the players present as the main lot of the evening, and there will also be the chance to obtain unique raffle prizes. Members of the Hull City Official Supporters Club are eligible for a 20% discount on ticket price.
