It’s time to vote for your Uber Eats Goal of the Month for October!

Across the first team, Under-21s and Under-18s, an impressive 21 goals have been scored in the month of October, and we have shortlisted four of the best finishes for you to choose from.

The nominations for our Uber Eats Goal of the Month award for October are:

Cody Drameh vs QPR

Tuesday 1 October 2024 | MATRADE Loftus Road | Sky Bet Championship

We start our nominations with Cody Drameh’s first goal in senior football, and what a finish it was! With the game goalless in the capital city, a short corner routine between Mohamed Belloumi and Kasey Palmer saw the latter find Regan Slater, but the midfielder’s initial cross was blocked by QPR. The ball fell nicely for Drameh who, on the half volley, fired his finish through a crowd of bodies to find the far bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.

Liam Millar vs QPR

Tuesday 1 October 2024 | MATRADE Loftus Road | Sky Bet Championship

Staying with the 3-1 victory against QPR, Liam Millar’s first goal in black and amber showed a combination of skill, determination and perseverance. Driving the ball forward from the left wing into the opposition penalty area, the Canadian international initially beat Hevertton Santos, but the defender blocked the initial shot. Quickly sprinting to the rebound, Millar would earn his just rewards when placing the rebound into the bottom corner to secure all three points for Tim Walter’s side.

Xavier Simons vs Derby County

Saturday 26 October 2024 | Pride Park | Sky Bet Championship

Scoring his first City goal in the fixture before against Burnley, Xavier Simons made it two from two with a brilliantly placed finish. Mohamed Belloumi assisted the midfielder as Simons took aim from range, rifling his low attempt past the outstretched hand of Jacob Widell Zetterström and into the bottom corner.

Zac Jagielka vs Burnley U18s

Saturday 26 October 2024 | Bishop Burton College | U18 Professional Development League

Our academy nomination comes from the Under-18s’ most recent fixture at home to Burnley. David Meyler’s side were looking for back-to-back league wins after a 3-1 victory over Birmingham City the game before, and substitute Zac Jagielka produced a stunning match winner. With Burnley failing to clear a long pass, the striker headed the ball towards the penalty area before arrowing a powerful right-footed strike into the top corner to help secure a 1-0 win over the Clarets.
