Learn more about one of the most influential figures in the club’s history by attending a lecture celebrating the legacy of the great Raich Carter.
Esteemed author and professor of history Tony Collins will be regaling supporters with stories from Carter’s distinguished career at 6pm on Friday 18 October as part of our 120th anniversary celebrations.
The event will be held in the Corendon Airlines Raich Carter Suite, two days before the Tigers take on Sunderland, his hometown club where he also achieved legendary status.
One of our greatest players and managers, Carter brought a glamour and elan to Boothferry Park upon his arrival in 1948, leading City to promotion and attracting star players like Don Revie.
Carter delivered so much more than sporting glory, becoming a symbol of hope and renewal to the people of Hull in the post-war years through his natural warmth and on-pitch excellence.
The Tigers icon earned a unique place in people’s hearts and made an impact that will never be forgotten by those who lived through his reign as king of the city.
Tickets are free for Members and £10 for non-Members and will be available online from 10am on Monday 7 October.
