Immerse yourself in the history of Hull City at our pop-up museum exhibition in Hull Central Library!
The Grade II listed building on Albion Street is showcasing an eclectic collection of fascinating artefacts and unique items of City memorabilia in celebration of the club’s 120th anniversary.
The Tigers’ treasure trove will be open free of charge from Thursday 28 November, Monday to Saturday, until June 2025.
Club legends Nick Barmby, Dean Windass and John Hawley joined supporters, including members of the 120 Steering Group, who have helped formulate our birthday celebrations, at an exclusive launch event on Tuesday.
Supporters can trace the tale of the Tigers through the array of vintage kits, boots, trophies, newspapers and programmes in the exhibition room, adorned with artwork chronicling 120 years of history.
The moments, milestones and individuals that have helped shape our story are celebrated, including the 11 members of our Hall of Fame, with a nod to the venues City have called home.
Fans can delve deeper into our origins over a brew and a biscuit in the library café, bedecked with more captivating articles of Tigers paraphernalia.
Joe Clutterbrook, Chief Operating Officer at Hull City, said: “We are excited to launch our pop-up museum exhibition and I would like to thank everyone involved in piecing this important project together.
“There has been a desire to improve how we honour the club’s history, spearheaded not least by the Tigers Trust and the Senior Tigers in recent years, and this project is another example of that.
“Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to bring the idea to life and we are extremely grateful to the 120 Steering Group for their contribution.
“We would also like to say a huge thank you to Councillor Mike Ross, Hull City Council and Hull Central Library for allowing us to host our heritage exhibition in the heart of the city for supporters of all generations to enjoy.
“The wide variety of items on display are sure to bring back memories to fans who lived through those eras and educate younger supporters of our roots.
“The football club has been a cornerstone of the community for 120 years and the Tigers’ story is one worth sharing and celebrating to the fullest degree.”
