Hull City can confirm that Erbil Bozkurt has joined Tim Walter’s backroom team as goalkeeping coach.

The 34-year-old joins from Milton Keynes Dons, where he spent the 2023/24 season, working first under Graham Alexander and then Mike Williamson as MK reached the League Two play-offs.

He has also held coaching roles at Leyton Orient, initially with their academy, Boreham Wood, Queens Park Rangers for five years, mostly under Mark Warburton, and Wycombe Wanderers.

A UEFA A licence goalkeeping coach, the former shot-stopper spent his playing days predominantly in non-league before turning his hand to coaching at the age of 25.

Bozkurt said: “I’m delighted to be here and I’m looking forward to working with Tim, the staff and the lads.

“After several conversations with the gaffer, it’s very clear what he expects from the goalkeepers and how important and involved they are going to be in our style of football, which myself and the goalkeepers are going to enjoy.

“It’s good to be working in the Championship again and even better to be part of a club like Hull City. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead with all the staff and helping the goalkeepers develop.”

Bozkurt replaces Barry Richardson, who left his role at the end of last season after six and a half years. The club would like to thank Barry for his efforts and wish him well for the future.
