Hull City are proud to be designating Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Plymouth Argyle as Level Playing Field takeover day.

Throughout the weekend and matchday itself, stories from across the club and Tigers Trust will be highlighted as to how we, as a collective, drive inclusion and support fans with disabilities.

This opportunity will also be used to formally introduce the newly formed Hull City Disabled Supporters Association. Created in collaboration with Hull City and Level Playing Field, the committee will play an active role in supporting relationships and effective communication between club and disabled fans.

Liam Bird, Fans Liasion Officer at Level Playing Field is pleased to see Hull City taking this step: “By embracing a Disabled Supporters Association at Hull City is not just an opportunity; it is a vital step toward fostering inclusivity, unity, and a sense of community within the Hull City fanbase.

“This association allows its disabled supporters to directly engage with the football club on topics and issues that can impact a disabled supporters' match day while also highlighting the positive work that the club do.

“By embracing the DSA, Hull City strengthens its ties with the fanbase, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that every supporter is valued and heard.”

With the Hull City Disabled Supporters Association making themselves available for a meet and great in the Tigers Trust Arena on Saturday afternoon from 1:30pm, Chair of the Hull City DSA, Dave Batte said: “The Hull City Disabled Supporters Association are excited by the steps the club are undertaking to proactively engage with fans who have disabilities.

"Our aim is to maintain a positive and proactive working relationship with Hull City going forward. Our objectives are to enhance the matchday experience for fans with disabilities, provide a support network and representation whilst recommending measures to improve our fans experience home and away.”

Hull City’s official charity, the Tigers Trust, support individuals living with a disability through a range of sports related sessions. Representing an organisation who champion inclusion and engaging communities, Chief Executive Officer, Catherine Bishop added: “The Tigers Trust takes immense pride in offering a diverse array of sport and education activities for those individuals with special educational needs or disabilities. As an organisation, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every individual, regardless of their abilities, has the chance to excel and thrive.”

Amongst a host of activities, the club are proud to be welcoming representatives of Level Playing Field, Hull City’s Disabled Supporter’s Association, Barton Inclusive FC and the Tigers Trust to the MKM Stadium on Saturday.

Andrew Clark, Hull City’s Head of Marketing stated: “As a club, we are proud of our matchday experience and through working with Level Playing Field and our new Disabled Supporter’s Association, we are aware of how we can make them even better.

“Engaging with supporters is a significant factor within our decision-making processes and we are excited to be working cooperatively with fan groups, as we aim to champion inclusion and provide a quality service for all, across all touchpoints.”
