Regan Slater won two awards in the 2022/23 Hull City Player of the Year Awards evening.

Receiving the Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards, Slater enjoyed a first full season as a permanent Hull City player, scoring five goals in 47 appearances this campaign.

The Player of the Year award, picked by Head Coach Liam Rosenior, was Alfie Jones. The defender has featured 39 times for the Tigers, keeping 11 clean sheets.

Goal of the Season was voted on the night, with Greg Docherty winning with his thunderbolt against Blackpool. Receiving the ball from Ryan Woods, the midfielder took aim from range and rifled his finish into the far corner.

Jacob Greaves won Young Player of the Year for a third consecutive year. Scoring four goals in 44 appearances this season, the academy graduate hit a huge milestone in his City career by making his 100th Hull City appearance for the club.

The Frank Donoghue Academy Player of the Year went to promising young defender Stan Ashbee. Son of former Hull captain Ian, Stan has represented a higher age group than usual this season, representing the Under-18s on a number of occasions. Helping Republic of Ireland Under-17s qualify for the upcoming Euros, Ashbee recently made his Under-21s debut in the Tigers’ 2-0 victory over Cardiff City at the MKM Stadium.

Prior to the award, a special dedication award was given to Frank Donoghue for his service to the football club, with the Academy Player of the Year award being renamed the Frank Donoghue Academy Player of the Year for his incredible service for over 30 years.

Congratulations to all the winners!
