Sam Deacon at Hall Road Rangers:
It took just 11 minutes for second-year scholar Sam Deacon to score on his debut for Hall Road Rangers – just hours after joining the club. The Bradford-born midfielder played up front and converted Chris Spinks’ cross to open the scoring, as Leon Sewell’s side defeated Swallownest 2-1 at Haworth Park.
Rio Dyer at Cinderford Town:
Fellow second-year scholar Rio Dyer netted his first goal for Cinderford Town in a 2-1 defeat against Bristol Manor Farm. The winger made his debut for the Foresters a few days earlier in a midweek victory over Willand Rovers.
Andy Cannon at Stockport County:
Midfielder Andy Cannon came off the bench to make his first appearance for National League leaders Stockport County. Cannon replaced Scott Quigley in the 86th minute as second-half finishes from Myles Hippolyte and Liam Hogan secured Stockport a 2-0 victory away to Eastleigh.
Ahmed Salam at Linfield FC:
In Northern Ireland, Ahmed Salam made his 35th appearance for Linfield as the Blues defeated Warrenpoint Town 2-1, courtesy of a 92nd-minute winner by Ethan Devine. Salam played 67 minutes before being replaced by Jake Hastie, with the Blues now four points clear at the top of the NIFL Premiership table.
Andy Smith & Callum Jones at Grimsby Town:
Returning to England, Andy Smith helped the Mariners secure a 2-1 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge. The defender played the full 90 minutes as Grimsby climbed back into the National League play-offs with the three points. Fellow Tiger Callum Jones is recovering from injury before he returns to the Mariners to help with their play-off push.
Louis Beckett & Oliver Green at Bridlington Town:
In the Northern Premier League East Division, both Louis Beckett and Oliver Green started as Bridlington Town secured a well-earned point away at league leaders Liversedge. Green played the full game while Beckett was replaced by Andy Norfolk in the 80th minute.
Tom Nixon & Harry Lovick at Pickering Town:
Fellow loan duo Tom Nixon and Harry Lovick could not prevent Pickering Town from suffering a 4-1 home defeat against title-chasing Marske United. Both players started the game, with Nixon making his debut for the Pikes while Lovick made his 12th appearance.
Will Jarvis at Scarborough Athletic FC:
Will Jarvis played a full 90 minutes as Scarborough earned a point in their play-off push after a goalless draw against fellow play-off contenders Matlock Town. The Seadogs are currently sat in fourth place in the Northern Premier League Premier Division on 64 points.
Harry Fisk at Tadcaster Albion:
Goalkeeper Harry Fisk produced a string of impressive saves as he helped Tadcaster Albion secure a vital 3-2 away win against Hebburn Town. Mark Ferguson scored the winning goal from the penalty spot as Tadcaster claimed the three points.
McCauley Snelgrove at Cleethorpes Town:
Fellow Under-23s player McCauley Snelgrove made his second debut for Cleethorpes Town as Brody Robertson’s five-minute brace helped secure a 2-0 away win against Dunston. Snelgrove was originally named on the bench before being drafted into the starting XI due to an injury to former Hull City academy player Luke Lofts. Snelgrove went on to play 64 minutes before being replaced by Josh Venney.
Josh Hinds at Gainsborough Trinity:
Sticking with our fellow strikers, Josh Hinds made his third appearance for Gainsborough Trinity in a 1-0 defeat against Hyde United. Hinds came on in the 73rd minute for Freddie Draper, with Gainsborough currently sat in 18th place in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
David Robson at Farsley Celtic:
David Robson did not feature for Farsley Celtic after he joined the National League North club on loan until the end of the season. The goalkeeper was not in the squad as Farsley drew 1-1 against AFC Telford United.
Matty Jacob at Gateshead:
Staying in the National League North, Matty Jacob was an unused substitute as Gateshead played out a goalless draw against Bradford Park Avenue. The Heed are three points clear at the top of the table.
Jevon Mills at Falkirk:
North of the border, Jevon Mills was unavailable for selection as Falkirk were defeated 1-0 by Peterhead in Scottish League One. Falkirk currently sit in fifth position, six points off from the play-offs.
James Scott at Hibernian:
Finishing in Scotland, James Scott will be looking to make his 12th appearance for Hibernian when Shaun Maloney’s side face Dundee United this Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
