Hull City are delighted to announce that homegrown left-back Brandon Fleming has signed a new long-term contract.

The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year deal to extend his long-term association with the Tigers, which includes a club option of an additional year.

Joining the academy at Under-10s, the Hull-born defender signed his first professional contract in February 2017 and made his senior debut in an EFL Cup tie at Doncaster Rovers later that year.

He played a handful of games in the next three seasons and gained loan experience at non-league Gainsborough Trinity and League One Bolton Wanderers, where he featured 10 times.

The arrival of Shota Arveladze in January breathed new life into his City career as he made the left wing-back berth his own in the second half of last season.

Starting 15 of our final 19 games, Fleming contributed three assists and helped keep eight clean sheets in 17 appearances as Championship survival was secured with four games to spare.

His all-action displays saw him named in the division’s Team of the Week on three occasions and scoop our February and March Player of the Month awards.

Fleming will continue to be sponsored by the Dacre Arms during the 2022/23 season.
