We can confirm that head coach Shota Arveladze has named Lewie Coyle as club captain for the 2022/23 season.
The 26-year-old defender has made 57 appearances in all competitions for the Tigers since joining from Fleetwood Town in 2020, and will be supported by fellow hometown defender Jacob Greaves who has been named vice-captain.
“It’s an honour,” explained Coyle.
“I feel very privileged. It’s something I’m very proud of, and something I know my family will be very proud of, especially with me being from here and being a hometown lad.
“It’s a very special moment anyway when you’re named club captain of any club, but for me to be named club captain of this club, being from here, it’s something that I’m immensely proud of.”
Coyle will lead the team out this weekend at the MKM Stadium as the Tigers begin the 2022/23 Championship campaign against Bristol City, and you can still buy tickets by clicking here.
