George Honeyman was left bitterly disappointed after the Tigers suffered back-to-back defeats in the Championship at the hands of Derby County.
Craig Forsyth, Tom Lawrence and Festy Ebosele were on target in a comfortable victory for the Rams at Pride Park.
“It was a disappointing performance,” said Honeyman.
“I thought we were a little bit off it in every department. I think there was a lot of indecision around the pitch - the gaps were too big between every department.
“We’ve got to get that right quickly because we’ve got a really good team (in Fulham) coming (to the MKM Stadium) again on Saturday. It’s a really disappointed changing room in there.
“I think we were off in every department. We started off alright and you could argue that if one of our chances went in then it could’ve been a completely different game, but you could say that about every football game.”
The Tigers will be looking to respond against league leaders Fulham at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, and Honeyman insists the players will be up for the challenge.
“The league is full of good teams,” explained Honeyman.
“Fulham are a Premier League team in the Championship. That’s why we wanted to get promoted last year and be in the Championship to play against teams like Fulham and be able to go and express ourselves.”
