Midfielder Sincere Hall expressed his delight after scoring his first goal for the Under-23s in a 1-0 victory against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Bermudan Under-20 international’s strike 22 minutes into the fixture helped secure the Tigers all three points in the Professional Development League.
“I’m very happy with the result,” said Hall.
“I’m excited to have scored my first goal for the Under-23s and I was happy to get the start overall.
“Heading into the game, I thought it was going to be a tough challenge, but as the fixture grew, I was getting more comfortable with it.
“In the second half, Sheffield Wednesday started to turn up the pressure, but we fought well and we kept the clean sheet which I’m happy about.”
Hall has predominantly been a mainstay with the Under-18s this season, and he spoke on the differences when playing Under-23s’ football and how fellow midfielder Callum Jones helped guide him through the game.
“It was much more physical to what I’m used to with the Under-18s so I know I have to be sharper and quicker due to the other players being bigger and stronger.
“During the whole game, Callum Jones was speaking to me. He was telling me what to do and helped guide me because at first I didn’t get the press, but once he told me how to do it, I figured it out so it was easier.”
