Young right-back Louie Chorlton has signed for Hull City Academy on a six-month contract.
The 19-year-old has joined the Tigers after winning the EFL Youth Alliance North East championship last season with Bradford City.
Also winning the EFL Youth Alliance Cup during his two-year scholarship with Rochdale, Chorlton has been on trial with the Tigers, spending time with the academy in their pre-season camp in Portugal.
More recently, Chorlton featured as an unnamed trialist in the Under-21s' narrow 1-0 defeat against Millwall at the MKM Stadium, hitting the crossbar with a thunderous strike in the first half.
“I’m really excited to be given this opportunity, because it is such a massive club that has a great set up,” said Chorlton.
“I’m delighted to have joined full-time. I have been with the club for three or four weeks on trial and all the staff and players have been good with me. It is a good club and I am excited to push on.
“One of the main things that attracted me here was the pathway to the first team. Other players have been given the opportunity to play and train with the first team regularly and then have gone on to bigger and better things so hopefully I can push on and join the likes of them.
“I now just want to impress in the Under-21s and hopefully impress the manager in the first team, try and earn another contract at the end of it and push on through the football club.”
