Young defender Jevon Mills has been nominated for the LFE Championship Apprentice of the Season award.
The 18-year-old penned his first professional contract in October 2021 and made his senior debut a month later as a last-minute substitute in the Tigers’ 1-0 Championship victory at Cardiff City.
The Nottingham-born centre-back gained further first-team experience on loan at Scottish League One side Falkirk, making six appearances, and has featured regularly for City’s Under-23s.
Mills has also represented Republic of Ireland Under-19s this term and was named captain on his second international appearance.
It is the second time this season he has been recognised by the LFE having been included in ‘The 11’, which acknowledges the football and academic progress of Under-18 EFL academy players.
Coventry City’s Ryan Howley and Birmingham City’s Jordan James have also been shortlisted for the prestigious apprentice accolade, with the winner to be announced at the EFL Awards on Sunday 24th April.
