Grant McCann is hoping to welcome back midfielder George Honeyman for Hull City’s Championship fixture against Sheffield United.
Hull City’s 2020/21 Player of the Season is yet to play for the Tigers since they won promotion back to the Championship due to an ankle injury.
The boss said: “He’s trained all week.
“We had a light training session leading into the game against Blackburn on Monday.
“He then had a good session on Tuesday and had another one yesterday.
“We’ll make a call on it but he’s had a good week of training.
“He’s been out for about nine weeks, so we’ve got to be careful.
“He’s such an important player for us.”
McCann is also yet to make a judgement call on defender Alfie Jones, who has also been missing over the last few weeks with a groin injury.
“Alfie has only trained the last couple of days," McCann added.
“We modified yesterday’s training session a little bit, so he didn’t do the whole session.
“It’s nice to start getting everybody back.
“It gives me more dilemmas and more decisions to make in terms of the team selection.
“We need everybody fit and available.”
Grant McCann confirmed that he doesn’t have any other injury worries ahead of tomorrow’s game against the Blades.
