Grant McCann says his players are looking forward to this weekend’s trip to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town and remain determined to turn their form around.
The Tigers were beaten by Peterborough United at the MKM Stadium in midweek, while Luton came from two goals down to draw against Derby County at Pride Park.
“Luton have made a good start to the season,” said McCann.
“I watched their game on Tuesday. They started with a back three and made a change around 20 or 30 minutes into the game. Nathan (Jones) has been there before, went away and is now back again. It seems like it’s his club. It seems like he enjoys it there at Luton.
“I’ve always had a good relationship with Nathan every time that I’ve seen him and spoken to him. We’re looking forward to the game. We had a good experience the last time we went there in the Championship when we won 3-0.
“Obviously that means nothing for this game but we’ll go there and try and get the result.”
This is a third consecutive season in the Championship for the Hatters after they won the League One title in 2018/19, and McCann says they’re a great example for his players.
“Everything is about building blocks and trying to improve year on year,” McCann added.
“I think you can see that they’re doing that. It’s something that we’d love to do and something that we’re trying to do.
“Nathan has done a tremendous job there and I’ve got a huge amount of respect for him.”
