First-year professional Harry Fisk was delighted to continue his return from injury as the Academy came from behind to defeat North Ferriby 3-2 at the Dransfield Stadium.
A brace from Will Jarvis and a winner from McCauley Snelgrove secured the Tigers the win in a mid-season friendly.
“It was a difficult game for us,” said Fisk.
“They’re a different side to what we’re used to. They’re a physical side and we knew that coming into the game. We had to communicate well, especially in the back four with trialists and some of the younger lads coming in.
“It was a physical game but I thought we dealt with that well. We made a few little mistakes which cost us at times, but I thought overall we dealt with their physicality well.
“Throughout the game we knew that we had the quality. It was just a case of producing it at the right time in the game. We know what we can do in the final third as we’ve got very good attacking players. We were much better in the last 10 or 15 minutes.
“It’s all positive. We’re here to win games - that’s what we all want to do. We’ve now got good momentum going into a tough game on Monday against Wigan Athletic.”
