The Tigers Trust were proud to host a Show Racism the Red Card event last week.
Celebrating their 25th anniversary, the UK’s largest anti-racism educational charity uses the high-profile status of football and football players to help tackle racism in society.
The charity works with schools, football clubs, trade unions and companies to deliver unique anti-racism education to young people and adults.
The event saw Year Five and Six pupils from Beverley Minster Primary School, Broadacre Primary School and Marfleet Primary School participate in a range of activities throughout the day.
They took part in an educational workshop around racism at the Tigers Trust Arena in the morning and then had the opportunity to take a tour around the MKM Stadium.
The afternoon saw the young people quiz Hull City duo Greg Docherty and Josh Magennis during an open question and answer session.
The players shared their experience of racism in football and offered advice on what to do in the event of witnessing abuse of any form.
