Forward Billy Chadwick has returned to Hull City after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury during his loan spell with Northern Irish side Linfield.
The 21-year-old moved to Windsor Park in July, along with fellow Tigers academy graduate Ahmed Salam, and notched six goals in 17 matches – seven of which were starts – for David Healy’s Blues.
He netted his first career hat-trick in an 11-0 annihilation of PSNI and scored his maiden European goal against Luxembourg champions Fola Esch in the UEFA Conference League.
The Hull-born attack-minded player, whose loan spell was due to end in January, is now back in East Yorkshire to see a specialist and undergo treatment.
Everyone at Hull City would like to wish Billy a speedy recovery.
