Goalkeeper Nathan Baxter is delighted with the team’s upturn in form as Hull City prepare to host Millwall at the MKM Stadium in the Championship.
Since being introduced to the starting line-up by Grant McCann against Barnsley, Baxter has been involved in three consecutive league victories, while he has also helped the Tigers keep a clean sheet in all three games.
“I said when I joined the club that when I join a football club, all I want is for the club to be successful,” Baxter said.
“It’s not about me - it’s about the team. Whether I’m on the pitch, on the bench or in the stand, I’ll always try and give my best to help the lads in any way I can. Obviously it’s a lot easier when you’re on the pitch and I’d like to think that I’ve made a good impact. Results have been great in the last three games.”
Although the Tigers come into this game on the back of three consecutive wins, Baxter believes it is imperative that the players remain focused as they look to extend their winning run.
“I think it’s really important now that we kick on and we don’t sit back and think that we’ve had a good run of results,” Baxter added.
“Inevitably in this league we’re going to have periods when we struggle, so it’s really important that we capitalise on a good run of form.
“I think because we’re so organised in terms of our shape, everyone knows their job no matter who the personnel is. We work a lot on the training ground and I think whoever comes in has shown that they can do a good job.”
