Hull City can confirm its retained list following the conclusion of the 2020/21 Sky Bet League One campaign.
The club has taken up one-year options on experienced forward Josh Magennis and versatile defender Alfie Jones.
Magennis produced the best scoring season of his career in 2020/21, notching 19 goals in all competitions and 18 in the league, including seven in the Tigers’ final eight games. Jones made 39 appearances during an impressive debut season at the KCOM Stadium – 31 of them in League One.
Discussions with goalkeeper George Long and centre-back Reece Burke are ongoing over new contracts.
Long kept seven clean sheets in 13 outings, while Burke racked up 37 appearances and scored a commendable five goals – his best career return.
Left-back Max Clark will not be retained when his current contract expires on 30th June 2021.
All other first team players remain under contract for next season.
Under-23s and Under-18s
Matty Jacob has signed a one-year contract extension. Discussions are ongoing with Elliot Bonds over a new deal.
The following players have been offered new contracts:
Harry Fisk, Louis Beckett, Oliver Green, Josh Hinds and Harry Lovick.
The following players have been released following the expiration of their contracts:
Harvey Carew, Harrison Foulkes, Ryan Hanson, Danny Lupano, McCauley Power, Luke Rees, Max Sheaf and Josh Ward.
Rees will continue to receive treatment with the Hull City academy while he works his way back to fitness after injury.
