Young midfielder Harry Wood has signed a new contract with Hull City as a memorable couple of days continues for the Academy product.
18-year-old Wood came off the bench to make his first senior appearance for the Tigers at Charlton Athletic on the final day of the 2020/21 season, and he has now put pen to paper on a new two-year deal that also includes a club option of a further year.
It was an impressive cameo from Wood at The Valley, and Head Coach Grant McCann believes that the teenager has a bright future ahead of him.
“It was pleasing to see young Harry Wood make his debut at the weekend,” said McCann.
“We feel that Harry is going to be a special talent. His first pass after coming on against Charlton broke a line and he’s been with us (the first team squad) for four or five months.
“He deserved his opportunity so I’m delighted for him.”
We would like to congratulate Harry on his new deal and look forward to seeing his development continue with the Club.
