Hull City are delighted to announce the signing of Randell Williams on a two-year deal, with a Club option of a further year.
The 24-year-old wide forward will officially join the Tigers on July 1st upon the expiry of his contract at Exeter.
London-born Williams gained many admirers during his time at St James’ Park, scoring nine goals in 87 appearances over a two-and-a-half-year period.
He was named Player of the Season in 2019/20 after helping the Grecians reach the League Two play-off final and also won their Goal of the Season award.
On Crystal Palace’s books as a youngster before signing for Watford, Williams made his professional debut for Wycombe during the first of two loan spells with the Chairboys.
He was involved in their 2017/18 League Two promotion season and returned to Adams Park the following campaign, accumulating a combined 29 Wycombe appearances before moving to Exeter.
Head Coach Grant McCann said: “We’re absolutely delighted to eventually get Randell. We offered a big fee for him this time last year and the boy was very keen to come to us.
“Unfortunately, Exeter weren’t prepared to let him go, so to get him now on a free transfer is quite a coup for us.
“Randell’s got electric pace, loves getting at defenders in one-v-one scenarios, can go both ways and will provide serious competition in the forward areas of the pitch.
“Most of all, he’s a very humble, down-to-earth lad who again fits our model of young and hungry players who want to learn and improve. We believe in this environment, he will do just that.”
