Keane Lewis-Potter Signs New Contract

18 January 2021

Hull City are delighted to announce that forward Keane Lewis-Potter has signed a new contract until the summer of 2023.

The 19-year-old, whose new deal includes a Club option of a further year, has scored nine goals in 48 appearances for the Tigers since making his debut in January 2019.

Joining the Club’s youth ranks aged 14, Hull-born Lewis-Potter signed his first professional contract shortly after his 17th birthday and was named Academy Player of the Year in 2018/19.

He made his senior debut that season in an FA Cup tie at Millwall and featured 22 times last campaign, scoring against Barnsley and Birmingham City.

The exciting youngster has continued his progression in 2020/21, netting seven goals in 25 appearances and winning the EFL Young Player of the Month award for September.

“I’m delighted,” said Lewis-Potter. “It’s taken a while but now I can focus on the games.

“It means everything to me to play for Hull City. It’s my club and I can’t want to crack on.

“The gaffer has been excellent with me. He’s pushed me to become better and every day I feel like I’m becoming a better player with him.

“It was quite a slow progression for me at first but this season I’ve kicked on massively and the gaffer has helped me massively with that as well.”

Head Coach Grant McCann added: “We’re delighted Keane has signed and committed to the football club.

“He’s a big player for us and it’s great to have him settled now so he can focus on his football.

“We love working with him and it’s time for him to kick on now.”
