Hull City are delighted to announce that midfielder Jordan Flores has become the Club’s first signing of the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has signed an 18-month deal at the KCOM Stadium, with a Club option of a further year.
Flores most recently played in the League of Ireland Premier Division for Dundalk, winning a League and League Cup double in 2019.
He scored seven goals in 41 appearances for the Lilywhites, including a sensational left-footed volley against Shamrock Rovers which was nominated for the 2020 FIFA Puskas Award.
The attacking midfielder also netted against Arsenal in this season’s Europa League and won Wigan Athletic’s Goal of the Season accolade back in 2015/16 – his first career goal.
Starting out with the Latics, his hometown club, Flores was also named Young Player of the Season that campaign and won promotion from League Two while on loan with Blackpool in 2016/17.
He enjoyed further temporary spells at Chesterfield, Fylde and Swedish club Ostersund prior to moving to Dundalk in 2019.
“We’re really pleased,” said Head Coach Grant McCann. “Jordan will bring good balance to the team, being left footed.
“He’s different to what we’ve already got in midfield and will provide good competition for places.
“He can score a screamer and shoot from distance with his left foot and right foot. He can open up things and see passes. He is very good in terms of putting forwards in.
“We’re bringing him in for his creativity and he’s quite versatile in the way he plays.
“He’s a really good character and an excellent lad in how he goes about his business.”
