Di’Shon Bernard says the team will be looking to kick on after picking up their first clean sheet of the season in a goalless draw against Bournemouth.
The Tigers managed to keep their opponents quiet in a game of few real chances at the MKM Stadium.
“Bournemouth are a tough team,” said Bernard.
“They’ve been in the Premier League a lot so it was a good test for us.
“It’s good to just end the losing streak and get a clean sheet and hopefully we can just kick on in the next game and get the win.
“Even though we’ve had disappointing results, everyone has kept a good head.
“Today was really good for us to get some sort of result and we’ll take that onto the next.”
After coming up against Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic the week prior, Bernard and Jacob Greaves had their hands full once again against Dominic Solanke, and the Manchester United loanee feels the defensive pair coped with him well.
“He’s a striker that can drop in or also spin in behind,” added Bernard.
“Me and Greavesy managed it well, I was talking to him throughout the game and I thought we handled him well.
“I think we complement each other really well.
“Maybe there are a few areas I could’ve done better but that’s the game.
“Hopefully I can work on those areas and improve in the next game.”
