Hull City U18 midfielder Harry Lovick felt the team’s latest point in the Professional Development League was fully deserved.
Josh Hinds’ equaliser secured the Tigers a 1-1 draw against Barnsley at the Oakwell Training Ground.
“I think the point was a fair result,” said Lovick.
“It was a tough game as Barnsley are always a good side and I thought we battled and competed well.
“We did concede a poor goal, but it was a good reaction to come back immediately and it was a good goal by Josh to get us that point.
“However, I did think we had a few good chances that we didn’t put away and so did Barnsley to be fair, so that is frustrating as we could have won the game, but I’m happy with the point.
“We now need to try and build on this result as we face Charlton Athletic next week. They’ll be a decent team, but I think if we can try and carry on the momentum, then we can get the three points.”
