Hull City U18 Oliver Green says the team is excited to be playing at the KCOM Stadium, ahead of their FA Youth Cup Second Round fixture against Doncaster Rovers.
The young Tigers progressed after their 2-0 victory away at Crewe Alexandra in the First Round, with both the goals coming from Louis Beckett and Will Jarvis in the second-half. The winners of the tie will face either Altrincham or Peterborough United away in the Third Round.
“The mood around the camp is very positive after beating Crewe in the First Round,” said Green.
“We’ve been performing well as a team lately and we are looking forward to the game against Doncaster as we hope to keep the good run going.
“It’s definitely going to be a tough fixture as Doncaster will be a physical side, so we’ll have to be quick on the ball. If we do the basics right and take what we did from the Crewe performance into the Doncaster game, then it gives us every opportunity of progressing.
“It could be a one time thing to play at the KCOM Stadium, so it’s one of the best opportunities to play at such a prestigious stadium and it’s a good experience of what a first-team match day would be like.
“It’s not good having no fans due to the current situation, but we’ll be focused on our performance and we’ll be going out there and aiming to get into the next round of the competition.”
